The Mugen-equipped CR-Z sat on Advan Racing SA3Rs, which to me personally, aren’t that great of a look because of how dated the SA3R wheel is. There is just too much of a generational gap between the chassis and wheels for it to really flow…

One of the reasons why I prefer to be at events is so that I can get a true idea of what I am looking at and remember who’s car was who’s. For example, Eric took a snap of this boost engine bay and I have no idea where the rest of the car is because it isn’t in his photo set…haha..


Here we finally get a chance to look under the hood of Wilder Bowers’ EG…There isn’t another shot of his car in this set either so this is the EG that I am referring too… HERE

One of my favorites from the East Coast Honda Meet was this blue EK9 CTR. I loved how the car flowed overall and it looked very, VERY familiar to me so I did some research based on the (current) owner and what I found online and I believe that this was once Jason Pham’s EK9 from Team EMOTION. Reason being is that there aren’t too many EK9s stateside and there definitely aren’t that many that are painted NSX Long Beach Blue Pearl. That in combination with the Chargespeed front lip leads me to believe that they are one in the same. CLICK HERE to see the car that I am referring to and see for yourself… The CTR was also featured years and years ago in Honda Tuning magazine, even though the photos in the magazine don’t represent it’s natural color… CLICK HERE to see that…

Even the engine bay looks nearly identical with the exception of some updated modifications and trinkets. Really nice car and (if it is the same car) I’m happy to see that it lives on…


Another clue was that it is still bearing Virginia plates. Two EK9s from the same state painted the same color with the same aero? Not likely to be two different cars. I could be wrong though. Either way, it doesn’t really matter. It’s a really nice build and one of my favorites from back in the mid-2000s. I remember that car really well because I used to follow Team EMOTION and Andy Bui’s work in Import Tuner and other magazines…
