Aca Les Dejo La Info De Cada Foto, Solo Que Esta En Ingles Y Me Dio Hueva Traducirlo
pic 1:
nothing really informative here except motor placement.
pic 2:
ok a very important situation here. the 2 tubes coming out of the firewall are of course for the heater core. as you can see there are 90 degree elbows attached to these and i did push in the back of the airbox somewhat with a hammer to avoid contact with the engine and heater lines. Be sure not to push the airbox in too much or else the horns will hit the inside of the box, not damaging but definitely something to watch out for. The thin hose along the firewall is coming from the charcoal canister that was relocated and the thicker hose is from the charcoal canister inlet (from tank)
pic 3
overhead pic of the driver side tranny mount. notice the gap between the frame and the mount roughly 3/8"s and the heater lines running into the engine block
pic 4
nice side pic of the driver side tranny mount, take notice to how much of the original battery tray had to be removed. The engine sits on top of the mount and this mount used was from the original paseo tranny mount, the 2 ears had to be shaved off so the mount woyuld sit flat on top of the bracket that was made. The 4 hex heads seen on the mount is just to hold 2 pieces of angle iron together.. always use grade 8 or better.
pic 5
upper view of the passenger side motor mount. the mount used was the original paseo passenger side mount. I did shave off some of the bottom of the mount because the motor was tilted slightly forward to get the axles to line up properly. This is just a piece of angle iron mounted on top of the bracket that comes out of the motor under the timing belt cover. secured by three bolts for the bracket to the motor and the mount to the bracket.
pic 6
just another view.
pic 7
some stuff going on here. right away im sure the charcoal canister is noticed. moved from the driver side to the passenger side. there is a L bracket holding the canister on. the bottom of the canister will rest directly on top of the 2 metal fittings sticking out of the firewall that use to be for the AC piping which was all removed. by the first wire tie for the hoses coming off the canister look hard but there is a t fitting on the larger hose then dips down out of site these lines will go to the brake booster on the driver side. an engine ground was also attached here on the left, there is also one on the driver sdie in addidtion to the one from the battery which isnt pictured anywhere.
pic 8
power steering hose hooked up to the top of the pump, and the pressurized line not hooked up. This is where a custom "power steering extension block" is needed. Ill post pics of this later. Notice the distance between the power steering pully and the frame of the car.
pic 9
mounted the coil on the and diagnostics here. the pipe with nothing connected to it (to the left of the master cylinder) is the tank breather line (goes to charcoal canister). throttle cable and fuel line are also visible. the stock paseo throttle cable will work with some adjustment where it connects to the motor and the fuel line from the filter to the motor you will need the corolla one as it is longer than the paseo one. all fittings are the same, just the length is longer on the corolla one.
pic 10
if u dont do this it wont fit. notch the frame out. Im not giving out distances but reference the nut that is welded to the frame, this is the other end of the bolt for the tranny driver side mount, that should give ua good idea of how much actually needed to be notched out. be sure to primer and paint and have a welder!
pic 11
oh goddamn thats close. bottom of the tranny on the driver side, nearly hits the frame support bar and nut. cut some material out between the nut and the tranny and it will fit. if you look closely you will see what i mean.
pic 12
useless pic. i dont even know why i took it
pic 13
rear mount, tranny is on the top of the pic and frame of the car is on the rear, i was going to change this bracket around from the last install but i decided to leave it the same as it is functional but ugly but whos gonna see it besides on here?
pic 14
tranny on bottom and frame on top. had to do this fancy setup becuase the whole tranny is like 3"s closer to the driver side so some bracketry had to be made to compensate
pic 15
the nice garage, one of 2 parts remain from the original, need a door with everything?
pic 16
some beer and the old body harness from the red paseo.. oh and a faded red hood
pic 17
5e to the left is the original out of the red one, 5e to the right is out of the teal one with uncut engine harness and front body harness.. ill sell that eventually
