Usually whenever a fad or “scene” starts on the coasts, it slowly creeps its way towards the center states. Being someone that is actually from Missouri, I get a little depressed when I see the quality of cars and meets that are on each coast (especially since I started working with Canibeat). Well the “stance” scene is finally making its way into the “Show Me State” – FINALLY. One of the first solid examples from Missouri is here by way of Corey Sevic’s Hyundai Genesis.

Andrew Thompson aka Visual Echos Photography did an amazing job capturing Corey’s Genesis for us…

Just look at these shots he took with his 200mm ƒ/2!
Corey first saw the Genesis chassis when it started popping up everywhere in the media. He quickly ignored the fact that it was Korean built or a Hyundai and looked straight at the potential it had. He planned on building a boosted RWD monster that also looks damn good when parked. The main problem Corey has faced so far in building the chassis is that the Genesis hasn’t been out long so he doesn’t have a wide selection of aftermarket parts to get his hands on or aggressive wheel specs to compare, but that is all getting better with time.

Yeah yeah they are reps… but we think they look and fit great on the car and Corey isn’t trying to “fake the funk” with BBS center caps like so many others out there!

No the tail lights do not come stock like this… Corey tinted them himself and left this subtle unique touch with the Hyundai H logo!

When it came to deciding the look his Genesis would take on, he was leaning towards a classic sports car look. He picked up some mesh style wheels and kept the rest of the car sleek and clean. Since the shoot he is already in the process of installing a full lip kit to help further improve the looks of the car. His mission has been to build something different but tasteful and what a successful mission it has been.
