en serio que esta bueno.

These are ten things that you really do not want to do!!

10) You ride away on your bike and you forgot to tighten the quick release when you put the front wheel on. RESULT - Serious and life threatening damage can occur if your wheel comes off and your fork tubes hit the trail. SOLUTION - Double check your front wheel, especially if you put it on and off the bike when you transport it, and lift up the front end of the bike and spin the wheel before you ride away to verify it is secure.

9) You forgot to put up the kickstand. RESULT - Semi-serious damage may occur, but most riders will notice on their first turn to the left and be able to stop and put up the kickstand, hopefully without wiping out. SOLUTION - Take your kickstand off your bike.

8) After riding a bit on the trail you notice the bike is not handling well and feels soggy and weird in the turns. RESULT - Loss of riding rhythm and difficulty handling possibly causing a wipe-out SOLUTION - Always check the air pressure in your tires before every ride and don't ride with the pressure too low.

7) After a few miles you realize that you forgot one vital piece of safety equipment. RESULT - Serious head injury or death may occur. SOLUTION - Always wear your helmet, and don't leave it in the car or in the woods.

6) You suddenly realize that there is lightning all around, and also that a flood is likely from severe weather. RESULT - You may have rising water to deal with if in a low or flood area, and also the threat from lightning. SOLUTION - Try to check the weather forecast before you ride or have a plan in case the weather is threatening.

5) You think that all dogs are friendly like your own. RESULT - You may get a serious dog bite and/or thrown off your bike by an unfriendly canine. SOLUTION - Approach any dog with caution, and consider a dismount when passing, keeping your bike between you and the dog.

4) Suddenly you are flying off the bike, but your feet are stuck in the pedals. RESULT - Collarbone, wrist, or shoulder injury may be likely, and maybe the bike will land on top off you as well.... SOLUTION - Make sure if you ride clipless that your pedals, cleats, and shoes are working properly and dis-engaging normally.

3) On the first downhill section, your front brake does not work. RESULT - You may not be able to slow down and have a wipeout from too much speed. SOLUTION - Make sure that you attach the front brake cable if you have v-brakes and you just put the front wheel on.

2) You are suddenly flying over the handlebars for no reason. RESULT - Serious endo and un-expected wipeout is likely to occur, with sudden bodily injury. Small sticks can fly up and get caught in your front spokes and cause the wheel to stop abruptly, or a sudden ground hog hole may stop your front tire, or you may hit a wire or rope across the trail not flagged. SOLUTION - always expect the un-expected and be prepared for sudden emergencies which may stop your bike in it's tracks.

1) You end up hiking with the bike for 8 miles on some of the best singletrack you have seen. RESULT - You are missing some prime riding!!! SOLUTION - Always carry a tire patch kit and/or tube, a pump, and know how to change a flat tire.

0) Your leg gets sucked into the chain resulting in injury and crashing RESULT - Damage to your leg, pants, shoe, and possible wipeout and injury. SOLUTION - Make sure that your shoelace on your right shoe is not loose, too long, and dangling into the chain ring.
